Our Story

The year was 2016. The place, a little town in beautiful North Central Florida called High Springs. A gentleman named Javier Lopez started a Mexican restaurant called El Patio which serves authentic Mexican recipes from Jesús María, Jalisco, Mexico. Central to every bite was the belief that every ingredient must be fresh and made to order. People loved it and couldn’t get enough. So much so, that Javier opened another location in Alachua Florida.

Since 2016, El Patio has made it a priority to provide our patrons a fun place to come and enjoy a wonderful Mexican meal.

El Patio features a wide selection of authentic Mexican cuisine including a variety of Mexican salads, burritos, enchiladas, fajitas and more. Our restaurants boast a cantina of specialty drinks like margaritas and craft beer and sizzling fajitas that make every visit a fiesta.

We love our customers and our employees. Because family and community is important to us, we have a strong presence in the communities we serve by supporting a variety of charitable efforts. A feeling of fun and camaraderie is a staple at each El Patio location.
